Thoughtful Questions for Bright People
Dates: November 29 (East Coast) and January 24 (West Coast).
Venues are being negotiated, but will be interesting, unique, and up to my usual standards.
Why do we react so horridly to sudden loss of life, but barely notice that life is being thrown away every day, piece by piece?
Why are there only two political parties of major stature in the U.S.?
Why do we enable people in destructive and hurtful behavior instead of merely confronting them and ending the behavior?
Why does some music (and even aromas) immediately take us to a certain point in our past?
What makes us feel helpless and what makes us feel empowered?
Can we control our happiness the way we do our lighting?
These are some of the thoughtful questions that we'll be dealing with in this insightful, incisive, and intellectual setting. I began this with a program called "Ocean's 11" in Las Vegas, and have had requests to continue the tradition of intellectual inquiry and growth.
In a wonderful setting, we'll explore the causes of actions and behaviors, and try to understand our options and influence. Think of a fine, hosted dinner before the advent of television, or a great vacation with friends before the creation of the Internet. The only "connection" will be with bright, challenging peers and colleagues.
Participation is limited to 11 people. There will be room for observers who don’t participate but are present to hear the discussions and may ask questions at the conclusion, in a great learning environment.
If you feel your talents aren't being challenged or that you're not interacting with the kind of people who can bring out your best, join us.
Without a doubt, your Ocean’s Eleven premiere is one of the most engaging and fascinating “conversations” I’ve experienced. You were the catalyst for a series of provocative, exploratory, and insightful discussions throughout the day—discussions that I'm STILL pondering! I hope this unique opportunity becomes a regular in your repertoire of offerings.
